OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are dedicated to promoting the growth and development of a healthy happy child. We provide a fun, safe, and loving home for children to learn and grow at their own pace. This includes lots of hugs, love, patience, understanding and respect. Children need to feel safe when they are not with their parents and they have that feeling here. Parents also know that their child is very well taken care of and in a safe environment. Our family childcare home is a warm and caring environment that promotes emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth of the child. Your child will feel secure and comfortable through the benefit of routine and structure. Having childcare providers who are educated and have experience in early childhood is extremely important.
We do not provide a babysitting service, we provide so much more.

Education

We are active members of the Kanabec County Childcare Association. Members of Adults and Children’s Alliance, Minnesota Licensed Family Childcare Association, and Redleaf Press. We take at least 6 hours of relevant training each year, often time much more. We are certified in CPR and First Aid. Deb achieved the degree of CDA, which is Child Development Associate. In order to obtain the CDA degree, she took over 120 hours of classroom training, was observed by a national representative during daycare hours, and wrote a number of papers and compiled a resource file for herself to use in the future as well as for parents to use as needed. We read professional publications for childcare providers on a regular basis, as well as participate in daycare email lists obtaining much information and support from other providers across the nation. We also keep you informed through a monthly parents letter, weekly preschool, and individual daily reports.

Experience

Deb has been a licensed childcare provider since September of l981. Craig joined her in the business in July of 2001. Deb is also a mother of two wonderful, grown sons - Michael and Mark. They both grew up in daycare and the reason she began doing childcare in the beginning!
